In the first of what is anticipated to be a raft of industrial relations changes the Federal Government has introduced 10 paid days of family and domestic violence leave as part of the National Employment Standards. This replaces the previous 5 days of unpaid leave.
This new paid leave entitlement will commence on 1 February 2023 apart from small businesses (less than 15 employees) who will have an additional 6 month transition period.
As this entitlement is part of the National Employment Standards it will be available to all employees.
